"Taking an internship at GIGHOUSE? Much more than just an intern"

leestijd: 2min | #freelancers #estimonials #Stage | 24 June 2019 | Daan De Bock
Friday, June 21, I concluded an undoubtedly instructive 37 days, this as a digital marketing intern at GiGHOUSE. GiGHOUSE is an online matching platform for freelancers and clients.

Matching goes beyond just the necessary expertise. It also pays attention to soft skills and the cultural fit with your business. GIGHOUSE is digital and powered by people and I am incredibly grateful for the knowledge that these 'people' have shared with me.

Unique internship opportunity

On Tuesday, April 23, I began my internship period. It was the start of a period full of variety, personal growth and fun moments. By doing an internship at a start-up like GiGHOUSE, you are involved in much more than just the digital aspect. It is fascinating to experience the steps that a start-up takes and the growth that such a company experiences. This alone makes this internship something unique.

Variation in the broadest sense of the word

This of course meant that I had very many varied tasks on my to-do list. No two days were the same. I had tasks ranging from writing blog posts to formatting campaigns and various online posts. In addition, I also took care of the graphic aspect of these posts, this ensures that you can deliver a product 100% by yourself, which is immensely satisfying.

More than "intern"

To carry out these assignments, GiGHOUSE allowed me to completely make my own way each time. I am therefore grateful that from day 1 I was given so much trust and opportunities and allowed to work so independently. In addition to the work I performed, they also showed interest in me personally. I felt immensely appreciated here and much more than just an intern.

In summary, GiGHOUSE has offered me a home for the past 2 months. A place where I have been able to laugh, learn and grow very much. The company is growing tremendously and passes this on with its contagious enthusiasm and driven dynamics to anyone it comes into contact with. Both internally and externally. So I recommend this place to everyone, whether you are a freelancer, a client or like me a student looking for a place to grow. That being said, I would like to end this adventure with one more message: Thank you GiGHOUSE!
